Here we go on another Porsche adventure! For many years I have been telling people that we will get their project up on the website but it always seems there not enough time in the day. But this is a 2007 Porsche 997 RSR , one of around 35 RSR's made in 2007, and it just would not be right if we did not share the details of this beautiful car. When you have a car like this in the shop it really does make you feel lucky, it is still work, but it is the kind of work that one can really enjoy. This car is probably one of the nicest, most original 2007 997 RSR's in the world. It is believed this car was sent to America as a spare car that would be available if one of the teams had a bad crash and did not have time to fix it. There was only one team racing RSR's in 2007 that had the budget to buy an extra car if they had a bad crash - The Flying Lizards. At some point during the racing season Porsche probably decided they did not want to carry the car on their books and sold this RSR to a private collector in CA. Through the years it changed hands two more times before finally coming to its current owner who has brought the car to Orbit for overhaul and prepartion for the 2019 HSR Classic 24 Hours of Daytona. The engine data logger tells us that this car has only been ran 34 hours from new. That equates to less than 3 hours of driving time per year since new!
